The Indonesian University of Teknokrat held the activities of planting trees and planting fish seeds as part of an attempt to implant environmental love awareness into new students. This event became one of the 2024 New Student College Introduction Program.
The event is led by Founder of the Foundation, H.J. Hernaini, SS, M.Pd., and attended by Vice Chancellor, Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE., as well as the new student of the Indonesian University of Teknokrat.

The location of the activity is in Teknowpark Gardens, Gedongneng, which is one of the tools of the practice and education of the environment belonging to the University of the Indonesian Teknocrat.
This event aims to building ecological awareness early among students, so that they understand the importance of environmental preservation. The event is also in line with the movement of the green campus at national and international levels, and it reflects the commitment of the UTI as a campus that cares about sustainable development.
As 150 tree trunks of different kinds like arches, mangoes, avocados, sirsak, and others planted, as well 200 lilac seeds and catfish seeds It's in the college garden pool. In his speech, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mahathir Muhammad emphases that the recollection is not only through symbolic actions, but must be integrated into curriculum, technology and environmental movements In college.
He also explained that the UTI has started using solar panels as an alternative energy source The current development stage is a prototype for community research and devotion. Moreover, college is also active in reducing plastic waste, by taking the students with their own beverages like tumbler.
Through this program, Indonesian University of Teknowrat shows his commitment to forming generation of students who care about the environment and are capable of being pioneers of positive change In society. With collaboration between education and real action, the UTI confirmed his role as a superior college supporting sustainable development.
