The University of the Indonesian Tecocrat, as the best PTS in the ASEAN, through British Literature Studies Program, was committed to increasing its public speaking skills to strengthen the personal branding as they entered the workforce. One of the attempts made was by involving students in various competitions.
A student of the British Literature Studies program joined in the English Club's School of Students' School of TekM (SBEC TEC) managed to name the Lampong Province by winning the National 1 championship in the STIKES Banyureu English Competitions (SBEC 2024).
The achievements were achieved by a team of students who made up:
1.M. Zahii Athallah
2.Rania Purisela, and
3.Selly Ramadona.
In addition to national first place in the Newscasting competition, Indonesian University University students also won 3 Solo Song Competition and entered Top 5 Newscasting Competition in the same event.
Achievement in Song Competition was obtained by Ade Ade Agustina, while Top 5 Newscasting Competition was achieved by a team of Hairunnisa Napitupulu, Lulu Aprilia, and Raffa Zuliano.
In a newscasting competition, students are challenged to deliver news in the studio and live report to technology themes in everyday life. The team that won first place made the theme of financial technology, with Rania as a anchor, Selly as a reporter, and Zahii as a source. Meanwhile, the five-point team raised the theme of using Meverse in college, with Hairunnisa as a anchor, Lulu as a reporter, and Raffa as a source.
In the Song Solo race, Ade was challenged to sing one of several songs of choice and chose "Golden Hour" from JVKE.
This race is guided by British Professor Prodi, Dina Amelia, M.Humm, and Suprayogi, M.Humm. "Hopefully the confidence and public ability of speaking in English continue to increase, and they continue to hone these skills," to Suprayogi.
